When it comes to the specialised tyres it manufactures for Mining customers around the globe, MAXAM Tyres has quality covered.
Applying a stringent testing and quality control process, MAXAM Mining Group puts every tyre through comprehensive lab and field testing and procedures that feature strict quality control. Plus, consistency is key, with all MAXAM’s product specifications, processes and tolerances established and controlled by its group across all manufacturing facilities.
Using highly advanced Shearography technology, each tyre is inspected to detect trapped air, under-curing and separations in the casing and tyre components. Electron Beam Processing (EPB) ensures improved component accuracy and stabilisation during manufacturing, while physical testing in the company’s in-house performance lab confirms the final result is a robust “Tier One” product.
Each MAXAM Mining tyre is also given a 3600 x-ray to check the steel casing and belts. Utrasonic testing is done on the rubber gauge thickness around the bead and chafer to ensure proper positioning of critical components and a meticulous visual inspection is the final step in the process.
Driven by its commitment to its core value of “quality drives productivity”, this superior quality control and testing process gives MAXAM the confidence to stand behind every product with a guarantee of performance.
